Andrew J. Opiola was born in Mitchell, South Dakota on September 27, 1977. He graduated with honors from the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. Mr. Opiola graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law in 2004, with honors, having also received the Joseph Bernstein Prize for having submitted the most significant piece of legal writing for publication in The Business Lawyer during 2003-2004. While in school, Mr. Opiola joined the Phi Kappa Phi honor society, was selected to serve on The Business Lawyer and served on the executive board of The Business Lawyer as Notes and Comments editor for his final year of law school. Mr. Opiola is currently a member of the American Bar Association and the Maryland State Bar Association. Prior to joining Blades & Rosenfeld, P.A., Mr. Opiola served as a summer associate at the firm.
